Instagram now has a ‘Take a break’ feature

Instagram has released Take a Break and other safety features for young people. This feature has now been launched in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Instagram has begun to fulfill its claim of developing healthy social media habits among its users.

Meta-owned photo sharing app Instagram is introducing a feature called ‘Take a Break’ to encourage people to take a break from their platform and do something else.

The app prompts you every 10, 20 or 30 minutes to do something else you like. The user will see an option called ‘Take a Break’ on their screen.

You can also choose how much time you want to spend on the app in this feature. Due to this feature, your feed does not freeze.

After showing ‘Take a break’ on the screen, the user can scroll further to say ‘Done’. This feature is specially designed for young people.

In March, Instagram will also introduce a feature that will allow parents to see how much time their children have spent on Instagram.

Similarly, Instagram is going to bring a feature that can be deleted by selecting very old photos posted at once.

Under the new feature, if a teenager has not followed a user, they cannot be DMed either. Similarly, unfollowed accounts do not get to tag teens.
