Samsung’s maintenance mode protects your private data while the phone is being repaired. It keeps the user’s photos, messages and contact list safe when the phone is sent for repair.

This feature is available for phones with Samsung’s One UI 5 installed. This feature will be available first for Galaxy S22 users.

This feature will be under the setting called Battery and Device Care. When this mode is on, the repair technician cannot even see what apps are installed on your phone. You can disable the maintenance mode after you get the phone back.
