Living with ICT is going to organize ‘Startup and Idea Fest 2022’ program sponsored by Ibima in the same province. The program is being organized in all the provinces with the objective of promoting the local innovators working in the digital sector and also raising the necessary investment. The program, which will start from Gandaki province on March 3, 2078 BS, will end in Bagmati province in the second week of May, 2079 BS.
According to the organizers, the program will start from Pokhara, Gandaki on March 3 and will end in Chitwan in the second week of May. In the first phase, after Pokhara, programs will be organized in Butwal on March 7, Birgunj on March 10 and Biratnagar on March 13. In the second phase, programs will be organized in Southwest, Karnali and Bagmati.
In this program, innovative ideas and projects of local startups and students will be displayed. Participants will present their ideas or projects with the participation of an expert selection committee. They will also have the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions from successful local and central entrepreneurs in the IT sector.
The organizers have selected the best 5 startups and ideas from each state and will participate in the business incubation in Kathmandu. The selected start-ups will get the facility of concessional loan facility and investment provided by the bank.
Startups will receive the necessary technology, legal aid and free consultation and various opportunities for business promotion, according to the organizers. The best 1 of each province will also be honored in the grand finale of ICT Awards 2022.
The organizers have informed that at least 30 startups will participate in the program of each state. In the program, in the presence of the state government, local government, private sector and stakeholders, special interaction and digital dialogue program on state in digital conversion will also be organized.
According to the organizers, various sessions and exhibition programs will be conducted from 10 am to 6 pm. Startups will have the opportunity to participate for free, and admission to the program is free.
The program has the cooperation and support of Ibima, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nima Academy, Softwareka College, ACCA, Broadway Infosys, CSIT Association and others. Similarly, the provincial digital dialogue program to be organized on the same day has the cooperation of the state governments including Huawei, Infode Developers, Nepal Telecommunication Authority. The digital dialogue program will be conducted in a special interactive manner in the presence of the state government, local government, stakeholders and the private sector.
According to Rajan Lamsal, coordinator of Living with ICT, the number of young people doing some innovative and innovative work in their field has increased significantly after the recent study.
